How do I book an appointment?
Appointments can be booked online through the studio booking system or by contacting LT Brow Studio directly.
Do I need a consultation first?
Many clients choose to book a consultation first, especially if they are unsure which treatment is best.
Consultations allow your brow artist to discuss your goals and answer any questions before booking the treatment.
What if I need to reschedule my appointment?
If you need to reschedule your appointment, please contact the studio as soon as possible. This allows the appointment slot to be offered to another client.
Where is LT Brow Studio located?
LT Brow Studio is based in Glenrothes and welcomes clients from across Fife including Kirkcaldy, Cupar, Leven, and surrounding areas.
Semi Permanent Brow Treatments
What is semi permanent makeup?
Semi permanent makeup is a cosmetic treatment where pigment is implanted into the skin to enhance features such as the eyebrows. The results are designed to look natural and gradually fade over time.
Treatments such as microblading, powder brows, and combination brows can help create fuller, more defined brows without the need for daily makeup.
What is microblading?
Microblading is a semi permanent eyebrow technique that uses a handheld tool to create fine hair strokes in the skin. These strokes mimic natural eyebrow hairs and help create a fuller, natural looking brow.
Microblading is ideal for clients who want a soft and realistic brow appearance.
What are powder brows?
Powder brows use a digital machine to create soft shading throughout the brow. This technique produces a result similar to a softly filled makeup brow.
Powder brows can be customised from a very natural finish to a more defined makeup look.
What are combination brows?
Combination brows blend both techniques. Hair strokes are created at the front of the brow using microblading, while powder shading is added through the rest of the brow for depth and definition.
This technique creates a fuller, structured brow that still looks natural.
Which brow treatment is best for me?
The best treatment depends on your skin type, natural brow hair, and the look you want to achieve.
During your consultation at LT Brow Studio, your brow artist will assess your brows and recommend the most suitable technique for your desired results.
Treatment Process
How long does the appointment take?
Most brow treatments take between two and three hours. This includes consultation, brow mapping, numbing, and the treatment itself.
Does the treatment hurt?
Most clients experience very little discomfort during the treatment. A numbing cream is applied before and during the procedure to keep you comfortable.
Many clients say the sensation is similar to light scratching.
What is brow mapping?
Brow mapping is the process of carefully measuring and shaping the eyebrows to suit your facial structure.
This ensures the final result is balanced, symmetrical, and flattering to your natural features.
Will I see the shape before the treatment begins?
Yes. The brow shape is drawn and agreed with you before the treatment begins. Nothing is done until you are completely happy with the shape.
Healing and Aftercare
What should I expect after the treatment?
Immediately after the treatment, the brows may appear slightly darker and more defined. This is completely normal.
As the brows heal over the following days and weeks, the colour softens and settles into a more natural appearance.
How long does healing take?
Initial healing typically takes around 7 to 14 days. During this time the brows may go through different stages including slight dryness or flaking.
The full healing process takes around 4 to 6 weeks.
Will my brows scab?
Some clients experience light flaking during the healing process. This is normal and part of the skin's natural healing process.
It is important not to pick or scratch the brows during healing.
What aftercare should I follow?
Aftercare instructions will be provided at your appointment, but generally you should:
• keep the brows clean and dry
• avoid touching or scratching the area
• avoid heavy sweating or swimming
• avoid applying makeup directly on the brows
Following proper aftercare helps ensure the best healed results.
Safety and Suitability
Are semi permanent brows safe?
Yes. When performed by a trained professional using high quality pigments and sterile equipment, semi permanent brow treatments are very safe.

Who should not have brow treatments?
Semi permanent brows may not be suitable for clients who:

Can I have brow treatments if I have previous tattooed brows?
In many cases yes, but this depends on the colour and condition of the previous work.

How long do semi permanent brows last?

Will I need a top up appointment?
Yes. A top up appointment is usually required around 6 to 8 weeks after the initial treatment.
This allows the brow artist to perfect the colour, shape, and density once the brows have fully healed.
Do the brows fade completely?
Yes. The pigment gradually fades over time. This allows you to adjust the shape or colour in future appointments if desired.
When should I have a colour boost?
Many clients choose to have a colour boost every 12 to 18 months to maintain their brows.
